With news that their highly anticipated debut album is on the way next year via Alcopop!, KEG tease us with new single ‘Sate The Worm’
With lyrics like the transcript of punk’s confessional, KEG’s ‘Sate The Worm’ dips you into absurdity; the colourful frenzy of synth and guitar experimentation weave in and out, cut through by sturdy percussion. KEG brandishes its unconventionality with self-awareness and honesty.
The single represents the band’s unapologetic dive into their already established sound, taking influence from post-punk and contemporary art rock to deliver a fresh sound that pushes the boundaries of the scene. The album to follow will build on this, promising a thick tapestry of melody and rhythm, with even more instruments to boot.
From Brighton, the London-based band of seven is set to perform at Mutations Festival on the 9th of November, followed by a performance at their current stomping ground, London’s Southbank Centre, on the 21st of November.
