After a successful year, Aussie pop powerhouse Mia Wray is back with yet another stand out single, ‘What If

Mia Wray has quickly risen to stardom with her stellar catalogue of singles alongside her debut EP ‘Stay Awake’ last year. She continues to impress with her latest single ‘What If’, a euphoric pop song filled with down-to-earth lyrics. The Australian artist embarked on her first set of headline shows last year after opening up for the likes of DMA’s and Maisie Peters and whilst her next steps are unknown, it seems like the world is her oyster.

Carried by a catchy chorus, the song explores the idea of ‘what ifs’, written like a pros and cons list of a potential relationship. Ultimately, she’s searching for the positive outcome by asking herself ‘What if it’s all I ever wanted?’ A joyous track that acts as a celebration of taking risks and giving yourself the space to dream, ‘What If’ creates an image of what the ultimate life could look like if things worked out with her love interest.

The introduction feels cinematic with breathy vocals and simple production before it kicks in with the first verse, taking you on a journey of her obsessive thought process and constant questioning. With an anthemic chorus and a voice that harbours so much power, you can easily picture a crowd singing along to this track and certainly feel inspired to take some risks of their own.
