OSEES take you out of this world and into the future with the release of their new single ‘Earthlings’

OSEES are back in their raw and messy garage punk form with the release of their psychedelic new singleEarthlings. The song belongs to their upcoming LP ‘SORCS 80’, coming out 9th August, and gives listeners a taste of what kind of reinvention we can expect from the band this time around.

Blending electronic and punk sounds to create something innovative and their own, the song explores the idea of wanting to change parts of yourself. Lead singer, John Dwyers, explains further:  “I’m sure a lot of people can relate to wanting to shift things in themselves for the better. Wanting to appeal to your human side and not all your demons and lesser emotions.”

Earthlings is overflowing with zippy synthesizers, creating a futuristic sound with an 80s undertone throughout, carried by Dwyers deep, dark vocals and the thrashing of drums. The second half of the track takes it to great heights, pushing the listener to explore new auditory planes as the passion in both lyrics and vocals intensify with the line “Warrior you’re fucking nowhere, dusty-eyed and totally scared, earthling, be free of me.”

Despite the band going through several lineup changes and even a name change, one thing has remained the same: their constant need to put out music. With 20 albums in their stride, ‘SORCS 80‘ is an ambitious 13-track project for the band, but this is not their first rodeo.

To celebrate its release, they’re touring extensively around the world from the UK to Asia, North America and Europe – they have no plans of stopping.
