The Great Escape 2024 Drops First Fifty And Spotlight Show

Faye Webster, Picture Parlour, and more announced in the first fifty acts for The Great Escape 2024

The city wide festival that takes place annually in Brighton returns to us in 2024 and we’ve just got our first taste of showcased artists. The FIRST FIFTY announcement includes the festivals first showcase show with Faye Webster at the Brighton Dome Concert Hall. In addition to this it announced that celebrated US-Indian star Sid Sriram will top the bill at the BBC Asian Network Stage.

The Great Escape has also shared the final 26 names to complete the line-up of the FIRST FIFTY artists performing at the festival – one of the hottest tip lists of the year for the industry’s freshest emerging talent. The acts announced include experimental four-piece Automotion, Canadian singer-songwriter Aysanabee, chugging Aussies Battlesnake, energetic punk band CARSICK, and the rising rock outfit Picture Parlour.

Synonymous with new music discovery and acting as a springboard for rising artists, The Great Escape is the festival for new music. Playing host to over 500 up-and-coming artists and hotly tipped talent across 35+ walkable venues, alongside the music industry-led TGE conference, the festival will kick off the 2024 festival season from 15 – 18th May 2024 in Brighton, England. Tickets for The Great Escape festival start from £89.25 and are on sale here.  

The festival also announced that Spain is The Great Escape’s Lead Country Partner for 2024. Led by The Spanish Wave and TGE, they will present a full programme with two showcases, panels on the Spanish music industry and industry receptions. Sila Lua, a Galician-born artist creating dance music with an experimental flair, is the first Spanish performer to be announced. The Great Escape’s first Spanish partners include: The Spanish Wave, AIE, Fundaćion SGAE, Instituto Cervantes, Live Nation Spain, Ticketmaster Spain and Mondo Sonoro.
