Indie rock royalty The Libertines ventured far south recently during their latest UK headline tour, specifically back to Falmouth, Cornwall. The band, fronted my icons Pete Doherty and Carl Barat brought their infamous brash indie sound that includes anthemic singles such as ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’, ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun’, and latest release ‘Run Run Run’. It was as indie sleaze as you expect, leather jackets, suits, and rock n roll attitude were all on show. The trousers may be slightly tighter and the hair greyer but The Libertines still play and command an audience like they’re still in their 20’s.

On supporting duties was locals Enabling Behavior, a post-punk riot that are growing with confidence with every show. They looked incredibly comfortable on the larger stage and showed that they were destined to grace many more like it in the coming future.

As well as the aforementioned, Southampton’s Dead Freights took to the stage with their fiery array of anarchic guitar playing. It was full of pomp and power and had the crowd very well warmed up for the finale that was The Libertines.
