They set the scene for success with their 2015 debut album ‘Are You Satisfied’ receiving a Mercury Prize Nomination, now they head to the Boardmasters stage

The band’s name may have changed in recent years but the heavy riffs and infectious energy is still very much alive within them. In fact, their first single after a hiatus, โ€˜Punkโ€™s Deadโ€™, was a welcome return to their high octane, snarling form.ย

Naturally, the duo that consists of Isaac Holman (drums) and Laurie Vincent (guitar) were eager to take the band back on the road. So, throughout 2023 (and likely 2024) the band started up the tour van and brought their ferocious live show to a variety of venues across the country. It was proof to fans that were skeptical about the band’s conscious shift to a โ€˜softerโ€™ outlook on life that they still could bring the house down with their loud, sweaty, and wild performances.ย

In fact, the last time that the band played Boardmasters (under their previous moniker) they headlined the infamous Land Of Saints stage. The untamed energy flowed throughout the crowd, akin to the IDLES set on the same stage.ย

The band recently announced that theyโ€™ve finished recording a new album (the first since the name change) which means weโ€™re going to get a whole heap of new songs in their set list for Boardmasters. Not to mention, the likely classics such as โ€˜Hunterโ€™, โ€˜Socketsโ€™, and โ€˜Cheer Up Londonโ€™ thrown in.ย

Looking for an energetic fix? Seek them out during your Boardmasters weekend- you will NOT regret it.
