CLUNK Recommends | Parcels – Summerinlove

Did a sports journalism degree, write about music instead. Used to sing, now you can find me either at a gig or in the pub in the centre of the universe – Leeds.

Parcels craft another sun-soaked track with a killer bassline woven throughout with latest release ‘summerinlove‘ ahead of new album ‘LOVED

Aussie indie-rock favourites, Parcels, return with the fourth taste of their upcoming record, ‘LOVED‘, in the form of ‘Summerinlove’.

Released in partnership with BOSE x NME C25, the Berlin-based group have put their signature sound on display here with a serious groove and a mellow vibe.

Equipped with a unique feeling of nostalgia, Parcels’ much-loved retro-pop sound is played out perfectly on a silk-smooth track – one to see out the rest of summer in laid-back, sun-soaked indie-pop style.

Heavenly harmonies and a killer hip-movement-inducing bassline make for a sweet, simple, gorgeous electropop record.

Speaking on the track, the lads in Parcels said: “Summerinlove is a nostalgic memory and a yearning for a past love that hopefully will return. It was written from the post break-up period where you’re in denial, hoping for the relationship to continue in the future when really it’s over.”

With a new album on the horizon, off the back of a triumphant West Holts set at Glastonbury, Parcels are on top of the world right now. With a huge tour fast-approaching, including a stop at the iconic OVO Wembley Arena, the only way is up for the Aussies.
