Indie-folk darlings Daughter release intimate ‘Live at Middle Farm Studios’, celebrating the one-year anniversary of their latest album ‘Stereo Mind Games

Daughter’s music has always been grounded in introspection. An opportunity to reflect on simpler (often more dramatic) times, contemplate lost love, be the solemn main character of an indie film as you stare blankly into the mirror, willing change. Driven by luscious instrumentation and the comfortingly haunted vocals of frontwoman Elena Tonra, ‘Live at Middle Farm Studios’ provides a mature escape inwards.

Though lacking classic tracks from their earliest releases, this live studio performance feels like a love letter to Daughter’s most ardent fans, a dream-like run-through of gorgeous spacey, guitar-led indie.

Having only played one live show to support their album, ‘Live at Middle Farm Studios’ offers fans the chance to experience tracks including ‘Future Lover’ and ‘Dandelion’ live for the first time. Intercut with handheld camera recordings that give this experience a found-footage feel, you walk away feeling less like you’ve watched a live performance and more as if you’ve stumbled into a clearing, witnessing something mythical.
