Horsegirl have announced a new album ‘Phonetics On And On,’ produced by Cate Le Bon and have dropped new single ‘2468’

Hotshot trio Horsegirl are back again with new single โ€˜2468โ€™, a brilliant track that experiments with each and every layer of the song, with violins building up subtly throughout the song before the unexpected crescendo appears.

This isnโ€™t the last of this new experimental sound however, as this song was released as the leading single of the group’s upcoming album โ€˜Phonetics On and Onโ€™, releasing on 14th February 2025. This album promises to take a deeper dive into the lines between pop and minimalism, which is already shown by โ€˜2468โ€™.

For this album, the group returned to Chicago after they had to relocate so Penelope and Nora could attend NYU, but now back in New York, working with producer Cate Le Bon, the possibilities for this new album were much more exciting. The influence of Le Bon can be heard already through the violins and kinetic percussion heard in โ€˜2468โ€™ and will undoubtedly be very clear to pick out in the rest of the album.

This along with a tour of America through February and March next year is certainly going to build up the hype for an already exciting group and we canโ€™t wait to see it payoff.ย
