Lambrini Girls are back and firing shots at the filthy rich and shameless celebrity culture with their new single Cult of Celebrity.
Brighton’s own Lambrini Girls, the explosive duo of Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Selin Macieira (bass), share their new single ‘Cult of Celebrity‘.
Don’t let the opening surf rock riff trick you; this is classic Lambrini Girls. A thundering, infectious bassline from Macieira that firmly has the track in overdrive, while Lunny spits out all too relevant lyrics targeting the rich and famous who are doing everything in their power to not appear on Epstein’s list, or be named as a Harvey Weinstein accomplice.
It’s a slightly warmer sound than we’re used to hearing from Lambrini Girls, creating an intriguing juxtaposition between the catchy riffs and the lyrics tackling the seedy underbelly of the global elite.
In true Lambrini Girls fashion, it’s short, sharp and incredibly catchy.
On the new track the band say:
“The age old tale, of selling your soul to the devil has been fabled accounts of high society for years. However due to recent events come to light – it turns out that the elite are very much actually, the devil incarnate, baby eating, pedos. What a fucking surprise! They had no souls to sell in the first place.”
‘The old world is dying and the new world struggles to be born: now is the time of monsters’ Antonio Gramsci (courtesy of Lambrini Girls)
We caught Lambrini Girls live in London last year and experienced one of the best, sweatiest gigs of 2025. If you didn’t catch them, you’re in luck as they will be taking their spectacular live show on the road to some of the best global festivals, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Warped Tour, Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, Gothenburg’s Way Out West, 2000 Trees, Dot To Dot, and more.
