Can be found dashing around Bristol photographing gigs, or listening to LCD Soundsystem. There’s no in between.

The Last Dinner Party made their highly anticipated return to Bristol’s Prospect Building to celebrate the release of their sophomore album, ‘From the Pyre’

Opening the show was Imogen and the Knife, who captivated the audience with their hauntingly beautiful yet tender vocals. Midway through their set, they welcomed Lizzie from The Last Dinner Party to do a rendition of Lizzie’s song ‘Mother Mother’. Imogen had previously collaborated with them on the production of their EP ‘The Slow Fire of Sleep.’

As the lights dimmed and The Last Dinner Party took to the stage, they instantly launched into the opening track of From The Pyre ‘Agnus Dei’ surrounded by shimmering lights and a church like stage set up. It was incredible to see them in such beautifully styled outfits in a venue as large as Prospect, when it was only in 2024 that they played Bristol’s The Fleece. Moving effortlessly between heartfelt ballads to arena ready rock anthems, proving why they’re one of the UK’s most timeless bands. The show was nothing short of spectacular, making me already anticipate when I’ll see them next.
