Bristol’s Bingo Fury drops unsurprisingly odd new single ‘Mr Stark’ ahead of his debut album ‘Bats Feet For A Widow’
Bingo Fury has been kicking around the experimental scene for a few years now but it is only this year that we are being treated to his debut album ‘Bats Feet For A Widow’, out on 16th February 2024 via state51.
With a more unnerving feel to last year’s beautiful Nick Cave-esque single ‘Leather Sky’, ‘Mr Stark’ is a lovably odd track with an off-kilter feel and playful production. At the centre, of course, is Fury’s subtle vocals, crooning slowly as he spins the story of the titular character.
Accompanying the hypnotic vocals are jittery trumpets, wobbly pianos and stuttering effects. Despite the track’s 3 minute runtime, you find yourself entirely sucked into the strange musical worlds Bingo Fury creates; it will be an absolute joy to sink even further into his debut full length album.
