CLUNK Zine 003

CLUNK ZINE 003 GOES BIG!

This zine is a real doozy..

Back in 2024 we rebranded the zine and since that time we’ve released two of our favourite editions we’ve created since we started. Now, we return with a third edition that somehow tops the previous two, not even we thought that possible.

In this issue (003) we talk to our cover star (and her very first magazine cover) Luvcat, the Liverpudlian sensation that is taking the digital (and real) world by storm. In this exclusive interview we discuss her sudden rise to fame, the story behind Luvcat’s inception, and risque nights in Paris. In addition to this, you will find interviews with getdown Services, who talk about the surreality of their growth, playing Glastonbury, and their USA tour. Prima Queen talk about friendship, love, strength & vulnerability and how these all influenced their debut album ‘The Prize’. Divorce go in depth about their latest album, creative processes and more. Irish post-punk outfit CHALK delve into their latest EP, travels through Iceland, and touring with IDLES. The lastly, Alien Chicks get honest with us and talk us through the joys and pains of being in a band in 2025.

As always, we poured our hearts and souls into this zine and cannot wait for YOU to have this sucker in your hands.

Please, grab a copy, enjoy it, find your new favourite artist, and support INDEPENDENT MUSIC JOURNALISM.

Thank you to all who helped us get this far.. we love you!

CLUNK Zine 002

THE CLUNK ZINE GETS BIGGER AND BETTER!

WE’RE BACK…

Our March Zine redefined what was possible with the CLUNK Zine and we’ve done it yet again with the CLUNK ZIne 002. This time we have really pushed what is possible for such a small group of creatives and we’re PUMPED to share it with you.. our dear reader.

In this issue (002) you will get the lowdown from cover stars FEET who delve into their sophomore album, band beefs, and more. Home Counties chat to us about their debut album, life in East London, gentrification, and all the other caveats of life in modern day Britain. Indie Glam-rock outfit Human Interest give us the scoop on their forthcoming ‘Smile While You’re Losing (An Audio Guide To Wellness’ EP, honest songwriting, and misconceptions about artists living in East London. Cornwall via London singer-songwriter Peri Rae talks life down in Kern and her recent EP. Merchants of groove Los Bitchos chat new music, life on the road, and career highlights. Aussie psych legends POND talk about their new album ‘Stung!’,  the Australian music scene, and more. The last but not least, we have Fat Dog taking the Agony Aunt duties answering all your questions about relationships, air guitars, and so much more!

It’s a biggie this edition and as always so much of our blood, sweat, and tears have been draped across the pages (not literally, we promise your zine will arrive clean and dry). So please, grab a copy, enjoy it, find your new favourite artist, and support INDEPENDENT MUSIC JOURNALISM.

CLUNK Zine 001

THE CLUNK ZINE RETURNS!

After a successful foray into the print world throughout 2023 we return in 2024 with a fresh new face.

We loved creating zines for you last year but felt that towards the end we got a little stale, lacked excitement, and weren’t providing anything different or unique.

So, as we headed into 2024 we sat down, threw the script out and started fresh. We focused on the elements you liked best, such as interviews and added more creativity and art into the zine. We’re incredibly proud of what we have created and really hope you enjoy the new and improved look of the CLUNK Zine.

In this issue (001) you will find interviews with Ty Segall’s drummer and collaborator Charles Moothart, who just released his debut album. We also chatted to Bailey Tomkinson and the Locals from St. Ives, who are blending a 70’s aesthetic and sound for a modern audience. In addition to this we opened up the Agony Aunt section with Getdown Services, who answer all YOUR pressing questions.

You will also find our festival survival guide and portraits feature that covers artists such as The Foxies, Saloon Dion, Confidence Man, Nova Twins, Dea Matrona, Willie J Healey, AND MORE!
