London rockers Susan The Band Share gritty new single ‘Spangalang’
Susan The Band have been a staple in the big city of London. Known for their lyrically biting alt rock anthems that come cascading towards the listener like a Jonathan Pie video. It’s a room filling sound that is relentless in its energy and raucous energy and their latest single ‘Spangalang’ is no different.
‘Spangalang’ opens with a slow, alluring, splash of the symbols that quickly opens up for a sultry guitar line, straight out of a Tarantino film soundtrack. It’s a track that belongs in the dimly lit whiskey bars of a foregone time. The gruff vocals take lead with the occasional lick of the guitar whilst the bass keeps things steady, driving the track forward. ‘Spangalang’ is a prime example of a modern blues rock track that sounds as crisp as a fried potato all the while having the raw, unapologetically cool sound.
If you see Susan The Band playing in a dimly lit venue near you, then we urge that you head to said dive bar to get that fix of rock n roll in your veins.
