Joining an already stacked lineup, Dot To Dot Bristol have added a huge number of local acts – here are our picks

Always a highlight in the Bristol festival calendar, Dot To Dot is set to return on 24th May. Taking place over one weekend in both Bristol and Nottingham, the festival brings its huge lineup along with it. This year, this will include Fat Dog, Sprints, The Horrors and many more.

There’s a varied mix of sounds too: from the honest folk of Jasmine.4.T to the breakneck punk of Snรตรตper to the chaotic club beats of Sextile, there’s a little something for everyone.

But every year, to compliment their huge lineup, Dot To Dot treats us to a generous helping of local acts from Bristol and Nottingham, to welcome fans and artists who have travelled from afar. Here are some of our picks from the Bristol lineup to look out for:

My First Time

One of Bristol’s fastest rising indie bands are My First Time and we can’t wait to catch them at Dot To Dot. Blending catchy hooks with classic indie riffs, My First Time aren’t re-inventing the wheel – they’re just making really great wheels.

Their new single ‘Much Better’ dropped earlier this month, a taste of what will hopefully be a huge year for the band. Having built a name for themselves in the city, it will be a pleasure to catch them in their Bristol hometown on 24th May.

Belishas

Another indie band consistently killing it are Belishas. Their 2023 EP ‘Before The Crash’ was sharp, short, sweet and catchy and last year’s single ‘For Winter (I’ll Take Heed),’ showed the band staying true to their sound while becoming even more ambitious and confident.

Now, with two new members (Ellis Fitzgerald on guitar, Agata Chudziak on synths/vocals), Belishas have expanded, both in numbers and energy. We can’t wait to check out the new lineup and we hope to catch a few of you there too.

Factor 50

No matter what the UV levels are on 24th May, it’s always important not to forget Factor 50. Another band who is ever shifting in their sound, they’ve come a long way since their debut album in 2023, gigging and festivaling around the country.

Playing entirely unreleased material, the band’s blend of art rock, folk and crank wave is as refreshing as it is nostalgic. With huge buildups, satisfying explosions and a sprinkling of brass, Factor 50 are known for a beautifully chaotic live show. With rumours of new material on the horizon, Dot To Dot 2025 is the perfect time to catch them.

foot foot

The most experimental of the bunch, foot foot are one of the most exciting bands arising from the Bristol scene at the moment. Their debut LP still waters, empty house’ dropped earlier this year, and has remained very high on our list of albums of the year ever since.

Ambitious, odd, and somehow equally comforting and disturbing, foot foot are a very special band. We’re very excited to see the album come to life in whatever shape or form they decide to bless us with.

Mass House

Following their packed set at Outer Town a few weeks ago, it would be rude not to include Mass House on the list. The synth duo are just that good at getting the party going.

With singalong bangers, squelchy synth basslines and enough hooks to catch a whole shoal, Mass House are the definition of a perfect festival band. No matter how many times we’ve seen them before, we can’t help recommending them yet again.
