Abbie Ozard has just released her brand new EP โ€˜letโ€™s play pretendโ€™ and we love it! The EP is a collection of four characterful songs that encompass what actually being in your early twenties is like.

โ€˜letโ€™s play pretendโ€™ is lead by Abbieโ€™s latest single โ€˜breakdownsโ€™ which highlights the issues that can come from having online lives and feeling disconnected to real life. โ€œEveryoneโ€™s having breakdowns because itโ€™s the thing to doโ€, which I think a lot of young people can resonate with especially during these strange times.

Abbie says herself โ€œthis whole EP is me romanticising my life. It took me a while to realise this as I considered each tune to be so separate. But after a late night of thinking, it dawned on me that each song on the EP is literally just me playing pretendย haha!โ€ The other songs on the EP include โ€˜pink sky (endless summer)โ€™, โ€˜tv kweenโ€™, and โ€˜true romanceโ€™ which all have a 90s-tinged style about them so they tie together perfectly.

The Manchester based artist has been supported on BBC Radio 1 by DJโ€™s Jack Saunders and Huw Stephens as well as BBC 6 Music. This has helped her gain a strong following and millions of plays on Spotify. We look forward to seeing where Abbie takes her musical career in the future with her upcoming performances scheduled at Liverpool Sound City and Live At Leeds this year.
