Al Mitchell & The New Born Sinners have recently dropped their latest single ‘Pedal To The Metal‘, following from the successful ‘Rubber For Cars’.
It’s a dizzying array of fuzzed out guitars and reverb drenched vocals that takes a sideways approach to the garage/slacker rock genre. The context and creativity of the track is it’s strong point. Set in a video game world it tackles subjects that are very real. Themes of escapism, drug abuse, broken families and redemption fill the songs narrative.
It’s a sometimes chaotic and overwhelming sound but it’s wildly infectious. The unique take on the genre is something that splits the band apart from their peers.
