Headliners Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service will be joined by a stacked line up including The Decemberists, Phoenix and Sleater-Kinney
The line up for All Points East festival (25th August) is out and it is insane. In celebration for the 20th anniversary for ‘Give Up‘ and ‘Transatlanticism‘, Victoria Park will play host to co-headliners The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie for an unprecedented night. Both bands will perform the entirety of their respective 2003 albums. It is also The Postal Serviceโs first gig in London for over ten years โ all in all, this announcement is epic.
Accompanying the heavyweights is a legendary indie lineup. The Decemberists and their indie-folk, narrative driven sound will be there on August 25th, as will shoegaze legends Wednesday. For those that want to dance the day away, Gossip, Phoenix, and Teenage Fanclub will be at the festival, delivering up synths, big beats, and everything in between.
Iconic groups Yo La Tengo and Sleater-Kinney will also make an appearance at Victoria Park. With 17 albums under Yo La Tengo’s belt, and with Sleater-Kinney as one of the pioneers of the Riot Grrrl movement, these slots are a triumph for All Points East.
Lastly, Soft Launch will be gracing the stage too. Their one and only single on Spotify, entitled ‘Bonsai‘, offers an insight into the bands synthy, atmospheric energy.ย ย ย ย
All Points East takes place over 10 days from 16th August to 26th August.
More acts are yet to be announced, but tickets are on sale now!
