Midwest emo legends American Football announce UK tour dates for the 25th anniversary of their debut album

25 years ago, American Football dropped their self-titled debut, known now as ‘LP 1‘, due to their insistence on only using their name as their album titles. It changed the game for the indie and math-rock scenes and arguably birthed the genre of Midwest emo.

Ten years ago, the band reformed and now, to celebrate the anniversary for the classic album, they have announced several UK tour dates.

Kicking off festivities is American Football’s headline slot at Outbreak Festival in Manchester, before they head to Nottingham, Glasgow and London. For many, this will be their first chance to see the band and these shows will hopefully recreate the magic that very few albums of the genre have managed to replicate.
