Iโ€™m Evan, a 19 year old concert photographer based and raised in Glasgow. Being from Glasgow, Iโ€™ve always been around music from a young age, either going to concerts with my parents as young as 5 or playing a variety of instruments throughout my childhood. Photography has also been a passion for many years and to combine both together and music has been nothing but great.

Biffy Clyro bring rock n roll fury to their sold out home show at the OVO Hydro

Thereโ€™s something about a Biffy Clyro show in Glasgow that you canโ€™t find anywhere else. The band took their โ€œFutique Tourโ€ around Europe and the UK before finishing in an anticipated homecoming at the sold-out OVO Hydro.

From the curtain drop the Hydro was ringing. The crowd singing before Simeon Neil could start. The performance was powerful, as if it was one big final push and burst of energy for the end of the tour and infamous Glasgow crowd. Simon also took moments between the chaos to thank fans and connect on a genuine emotion, soaking it all in from the city that started it all.

Personal favourite of the night for me was โ€˜The Golden Ruleโ€™. Pure energy which was felt in the soul of all. Even though it was played early into the show, it set the tempo and standards for the rest. Biffy played a well curated mix of songs old and new material from ‘Futique’.ย

Finishing the set with ‘Bubbles’, and ‘Many of Horror’. It seemed as if the band never wanted to leave that staged and the crowd didnโ€™t want them to leave either. An all round great performance and end to the โ€œFutique Tourโ€. It seems Biffy couldnโ€™t wait to be back, announcing a headline show at Edinburghโ€™s Summer Sessions this August.
