Bristol’s Simple Things lineup features the best artists of cutting-edge culture and prioritises innovative acts over commercial trends
Spearheaded by local powerhouses Crack Magazine alongside the team behind local Bristolian festivals like Love Saves the Day and FORWARDS, Simple Things is back on Saturday 8th November to celebrate contemporary experimental music and the diversity that accompanies it.
Following on from their success of last year, Simple Things is planning on spanning across venues such as Bristol Beacon, Strange Brew, Rough Trade and Bristol Megascreen, a multi-venue extravaganza that differs from most of Team Loveโs other projects.
Innovation and experimentation has always been a core value in the team behind this festival, bringing acts such as post-punk 4 piece Dry Cleaning and indie synth-rock singer Tunde Adebimpe that have been pioneering in the underground scene.
Also featuring live electronics from Factory Floor and Decius and ranging from the raw rocking guitars of MOULD to the experimental psychedelic antics of Richard Dawson, this festival has an artist for everyone. Other highlights include experimental classical-rock band These New Puritans, beautiful singer-songwriter ballads from local legend Lucy Gooch and Tanzanian family band The Zawose Queens.
