“You should take some time to figure out your life,” went the lesson in Chastity Belt’s deliciously sludgy hit ‘Different Now’. And that’s exactly what this band seem to have been doing for the past two years. After a hiatus in which lead singer Julia Shapiro took a break to pursue her own solo projects, Chastity Belt are now heading back out on tour, covering a sprawling collection of venues across Europe and America this autumn.

And we’re pretty certain this glorious news can mean only one thing: New Music. Geddin. Whether it’s the stoner-drone of tracks like ‘Joke’ or the grinning, fuck-off grind of ‘Cool Slut’ and ‘Giant Vagina’, we’re ready for whatever this four-piece got.

The band’s show at Thekla in Bristol marks the start of the UK leg of their tour, which includes stop-offs in Leeds at Brudenell Social Club and Patterns in Brighton, before finishing around late October at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.

Chastity Belt play Thekla in Bristol on the 13th October. Check out the band and their tour dates here:
