The recently formed Cornish band Citations have returned to us on this day with a dramatic slice of rock ‘n’ roll. Their latest single ‘Inoperable’ shows a softer more emotive side to the band, especially in comparison with their previous single ‘El Diablo’.

‘Inoperable’ still carries some weight, especially behind the chorus and intense riff that builds throughout but the raw energy has taken a backseat and the vocals have been bought forward. It boasts the bands songwriting ability and brings forward a new element to the growing band.

It is great to see a band step the foot into a slightly different realm and still sound absolutely brilliant. Citations might just be one of the most exciting bands to emerge from Cornwall, I cannot wait to see what else they can bring to the table.
