Liverpool indie band Courting release their new single ‘After You’ from their upcoming third album, out on 14th March

‘After You’ is Courting’s first track of 2025, but the second to feature on their imminent third album ‘Lust for Life, Or: ‘How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story’’ – out 14 March via Lower Third.

Packing a punch right from the offset, ‘After You’ is a heavy-hitting addition to the Liverpool quartet’s discography. Following the upcoming album’s first single ‘Pause at You’, the two tracks have laid the groundwork for an album composed of experimental indie-rock anthems.

Courting’s new single was the first track to be written for their next album, with frontman Sean Murphy-O’Neill explaining that ‘After You’ was an “exercise in direct songwriting, an attempt to create something very straightforward’ he goes on to say that the band ‘wanted the wall of guitars and the drums to feel almost hypnotic” – and hypnotic it is.

From the album ‘Lust for Life, Or: ‘How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story’’ Courting fans, and fellow Liverpudlians, can expect eight tracks, described as ‘direct and succinct’ with the goal to ‘hit everyone in the face and leave’.

And if that doesn’t get you excited for more new music – we don’t know what will.

The new album is out on 14th March via Lower Third.
