Brighton’s Die Twice drop dark, brooding and emotional new single ‘Wishbone,’ following March’s ‘Jakobo‘
Brighton-based indie band Die Twice added another dark and brooding single to their repertoire yesterday with ‘Wishbone’. Inspired by a deep exchange within the band, the song seeps vulnerability with its introspective lyrics – “how could you break me so easy? / there’s no luck on either side.”
Heavy emotion makes up the bones of the track; Bayton’s vocal delivery switches from melancholic to desperate and powerful, with a chorus that almost sounds like a lament. Within their cult-like following, Die Twice are known for their theatrics and ‘Wishbone’ takes it to another level, with sweeping guitars and menacing crescendos that are made for the big stage.
