Exeter/Brighton indie rock band Die Twice drop their dramatic and atmospheric third single ‘Jakobo’

With only three songs in their discography, Die Twice is the epitome of quality over quantity. Formed in 2022, the Exeter/Brighton-based indie-rock band have just released their third single, โ€˜Jakoboโ€™, via FAE.ย

From the moment you press play, youโ€™re immediately thrust into Die Twiceโ€™s dramatic soundscape with a haunting piano solo which seamlessly shifts to a thunderous instrumental, and then back again.ย

Frontman Olly Bayton finds inspiration in literature and cinema, which can be heard loud and clear in his lyricism as well as the versatility of his vocals. Using his voice to tell a story, Baytonโ€™s vocals shift from melancholic whispers to soaring belts, accompanied by wailing guitar solos and crashing drums.ย

โ€˜Jakoboโ€™ provides three minutes of atmospheric and rich sonics, steeped in drama. Made for the stage, the only way this single can be improved is in the immersive live performance which Die Twice are quickly gaining recognition for.ย
