Ellur does it again in her final release, ‘Dream of Mine’, before her much anticipated album ‘At Home In My Mind‘ releasing on Feb 6th via Dance To The Radio.
‘Dream Of Mine’ sparkles through Ellur’s sacrifices she has had to make to pursue her dream: music. A subject matter so close to many creatives and musicians, such as herself. This single, once again, echoes with reflection, growth and learning which lends to the wider topic of navigating your youth and your 20’s.
Ellur, and the arrangements that colour her, sit so perfectly in the mid to low end echoing her influences such as Fleetwood Mac, Sam Fender and The War on Drugs. Ellur and her band achieve in creating textures, tones and sounds that seem as if they have always been there; nothing pointy sticks out, no sharp effects interrupt the comforting and reassuring experience that Ellur‘s songs, and indeed this new single, delivers.
After seeing Ellur at an intimate gig last year in 2025, I can assure that she is set to rise (a cliche so often used with emerging artists, but it is true). With each new release it is as if her sound becomes more honed, mature and realised. As a 24 year-old navigating her 20’s, she uses the honesty of her lyrics, the intrigue of her arrangements and the power of her vocals to create a space and sound people can find solace in. I for one am extremely excited not only for her latest album, but for what is in store for Ellur ;a musician with undeniable talent and with a dream to reach the top, no matter the sacrifice.
