Indie pop artist Ellur releases new anthemic indie single ‘Missing Kid’, the follow-up to her acclaimed EP ‘God Help Me Now’
‘Missing Kid’ creeps up on you, grows on you, and then leaches on, only to never let go. Its thumping rhythm, soft yet colourful guitar tones, and the warm, viscous voice of Ellur makes this the captivating indie anthem it’s become.
It is the first taster of her upcoming debut album which is arriving in spring 2026. The single arrives in the midst of a busy festival season and serves indie summer vibes, those we long for when headed to the next festival green to see the next big thing perform their anthems in front of an eager, music-loving crowd, in this case the next big thing being Ellur.
‘Missing Kid’ showcases Ellur taking her first steps into adult life; instead of feeling prepared, she discusses the overwhelming nature of it all and her worries about the future. Feeling like a missing kid is something I certainly have experienced many times and will undoubtedly experience many times more. She’s created a relatable, comfortable sound that is addictive in nature and makes me want to listen over and over again, which is what I’ll be doing for the foreseeable, until there’s new material for me to leach onto.
