Glasgow punk band Gallus drop new single ‘Depressed Beyond Tablets’, produced by Dead Pony’s Blair Crichton

The latest single from Glasgow indie punks Gallus has arrived, and it doesn’t disappoint. The classic punk sound is here again, and it is dominant throughout its runtime, with the heavy guitar sounds powering it the whole way through. The song throws out the idea that maybe life’s biggest problems can’t be solved by pills and other temporary fixes.

The reaction taken to this idea by the band is one that suggests to just take the wheel and actually start to spark some real change. The song was produced by Blair Crichton of Dead Pony and it feels like he only helps with the overall sound of the song and totally adds to it through his behind-the-scenes work.

The many parts of this song mix together perfectly, providing that old punk sound combined with lyrics that toy with your ideas of society, like any good punk lyrics should. The meaning of this song is one that should be remembered as a brilliant new part of Gallus’s songbook.
