Hutch release their first track in almost a year with ‘Mrs Sunshine’ and is a jangly return, made for summer and festival fields.
Brighton-based psych band Hutch have released new material for the first time in over a year. โMrs Sunshineโ feels exactly as the name suggests. Opening with happy, jangly guitars and a groovy bassline, vocals enter the picturesque scene over lively drums.
Each verse is infused with electronic tones, which build until the music fades towards the middle of the track. A long bridge features the same jangly guitar rhythm as before, cut up by bass and drum hits until a plodding, enthusiastic drum beat moves the song forward once more.
Vocals come in again at the end, singing the name of the track before a final short chorus, at the end of which the music abruptly fades. Jovial and euphoric, โMrs Sunshineโ catapults you into a blissful summerโs day. Whether you imagine relaxing on the beach, sitting in a festival field or enjoying the luxuries of summer in your own garden, this song will get you in the mood for sunny days as the year starts to get warmer. Hutch are a must-listen for fans of Melodyโs Echo Chamber and Mandrake Handshake, and certainly deserve their flowers.
