Drummer first and foremost, but will happily give an opinion on anything rock, indie and punk related.

Brighton art-rock group Ideal Living announce their tantalising ‘indie-opera’ 4-track EP ‘This Big House’ and drop new single

Come To Me’ is a moving and shifting track lasting just over four minutes, where the group move through different grooves and musical motions, creating a blissful soundscape that is a joy on the ears. This track, Produced by Ben Hampson (Lambrini GirlsDitz), is a teaser for the wider scope of themes and artistic vision of the group as well as their upcoming EP.

The sheer brilliance of this creative project is backed up by the EP release coinciding with the release of an accompanying short film and full length novel written by band frontman Billy Marsh.

You can feel the incredible range of musical talent seeping from Ideal Living. The song incorporates everything from guitars, brass and electronic elements in order to forge the most fantastic harmony of sounds, blending genres seamlessly. Bands like Ideal Living are never ones to be comfortable staying within the realms of what is expected from them, and this fact is clear on ‘Come To Me’.

Along with the likes of Brighton art-rock comrades Squid, it appears there’s somewhat of a extravagant rock frenzy occurring on those famed pebbly shores. Even if you’re not a huge fan of crazy music like this, there’s definitely some noodle of musical genius flowing out of this track for every type of listener.
