Bristol’s Langkamer release their latest single ‘Babe Pig In The City’ from their upcoming album ‘No’ out on the 22nd January.

This is a single so full of hooks, you will find yourself entangled and locked in from the very moment it starts. ‘Babe Pig In The City’ entertains from start to finish, with fuzzy guitars, a solid back beat and matter of fact lyrics, outlining a topic that resonates with anyone experiencing the hardships of feeling slightly lost!

The single excites fans and attracts new listeners to this Bristol quartet, who have been releasing belters since 2020.  Out via Breakfast Records, formed by Langkamer‘s Dan Anthony and Josh Jarman in 2016 and produced by Remko Schouten (Pavement, Personal Trainer), the song jollily bounces you through, in a brief 3-4 minutes, the sense of being plunged in to the unknown – ‘out of the frying pan and onto the plane’. The middle section is one of reflection that feels as if the song is about to draw to an end, but builds and abates the close to simulate perseverance – a deliberate move by the band to reflect the subject matter of the song.

‘Babe Pig In The City’ is a metaphor for being present in a context so far removed from your own: a pig in a city. The song is about your youth and being perpetually lost, stuck in a cycle of finding yourself, only to lose yourself a moment later and how with age, despite what some may say, you can feel the exact same.

The listener is felt seen by ‘Babe Pig In The City‘ as they dance into realisation and recognise that everyone has felt lost, no matter their age, occupation or situation. The song is about persevering, accepting and keeping resilient in a time of feeling unmoored.
