Did a sports journalism degree, write about music instead. Used to sing, now you can find me either at a gig or in the pub in the centre of the universe – Leeds.

Scottish songstress, Lizzie Reid, returns with latest track ‘Sweet Relief’, featuring singer-songwriter Hamish Hawk.

Accompanied by another beloved Scot, Hamish Hawk, ‘Sweet Relief’ makes for a cinematic experience. What is to be the opener of Reid’s next extended play, the track is a baptism of fire to kick off her new EP, coming April 17th, titled ‘Undoing‘. Dark, grungy, full of cunning guitar lines and horror-movie sequence drums.

Matched with beautifully frightening ambience, enticingly disturbing synths and a vocal match made in heaven, or hell – ‘Sweet Relief’ is a brutal beaut.

As she gears up to appear at Brit week supporting Mercury nominated riser, Jacob Alon, at their date in Edinburgh, Reid’s cult status could soon grow to bona fide Scottish superstar with tracks as haunting as this one.

Lizzie Reid‘s new EP ‘Undoing‘ shall release April 17th.
