Indie riser, Master Peace, continues to roll out his February-due EP ‘Stupid Kids’ with the nostalgia-driven indie anthem ‘Good Times’.
Good times are had on ‘Good Times’ as the Kasabian and Mike Skinner championed indie rockstar chants about recklessness, piss-ups and parties with a fuck-the-world attitude.
A catchy bassline, a groovy whistle and those shout and return vocals make for a genuine nostalgia-filled banger. Sounding straight out of FIFA 14, the tune is infectious, simple and fun – bringing back the glory days of sunny day indie rock music to get the words wrong to.
One thing Master Peace has failed to do since he burst onto the scene is not make a banger. ‘Good Times’ is a fun ride. It’s a good time. It’s great track.
This vibrant banger is just the start for the EP run, with the full thing appearing on February 27th. With indie anthems like this, a song on FC26, a support slot and a collaboration with Franz Ferdinand – the only way is up for Master Peace.
