MOULD’s latest track brings the volume down a touch to deliver hard-hitting lyrics that delve into the bleak side of humanity

MOULD are back following their hit 2nd EP earlier this year, ensuring that the hot streak doesn’t stop anytime soon. This single, ‘Float’, teases their debut album coming next year in a very different way than you’d expect from the band.

Float’ brings the volume that the band usually bring down a touch to bring a slow burner that hits hard. The song does still contain the heavy hits you’d normally receive from a MOULD song, but it tones down to let you process the lyrics you’re being told.

These lyrics deliver a bleak, but unfortunately accurate, outlook on humanity, forcing listeners to delve deep into some neglected parts of the brain. Every beat accompanies the lyrics and enforces the hard-hitting feeling of it to the point that you can’t avoid it.

The song gains more of the usual heaviness towards the end to finish off this experience and leave you remembering the way it made you feel for a while after.
