The Stingrays’ latest track ‘He Said To Me’ is a tribute to 60s psychedelia and remains refreshing and feels innovative.

The Stingrays created a buzz around their psychedelic-funk infused sound last summer, after playing a residency of shows at Brick Lane and stunning crowds at Live at Leeds – now they release their latest single โ€˜He Said to Meโ€™ after signing to Nice Swan Records.

The new tune has a sound plucked straight from the groove era of the 60โ€™s, with each member of the trio passing the spotlight onto the next throughout the succinct three minute track. Whilst drawing on older inspiration, The Stingrays still pull off a refreshing sound with innovative influence.

The band shared the inspiration behind the track, โ€œโ€˜He Said To Meโ€™ is about the feeling of being young in a new city, the falling in and out of different scenes and all the glorious indulgences that go alongside them. Inspired by Jimi Hendrix and the Kinks.โ€
