‘Flight Path’ will leave fans of The Tullamarines wanting more as watery guitars blend with warm basslines, in a track that marks a step up for the band.
Fresh off the back of their sophomore EP ‘Safety Blanket’, Australian indie-pop quartet The Tullamarines return with ‘Flight Path’. After a groundbreaking year, landing #91 in the Triple J hottest 100 with their single ‘Running on Empty’, The Tullamarines are back from their minor hiatus, sparing no time in reintroducing themselves with a true summer song, whilst also addressing the frustrations that come with being an artist, with the likes of writers block, loss of confidence and self doubt being cited as driving forces of the tune.
A triumphant demonstration of the band’s potential, firmly establishing themselves with driving yet warm baselines, watery guitars and even a floral, saturated music video to compliment the track. A tune that truly puts the group on the level with the likes of San Cisco, The Jungle Giants and even Ball Park Music. We should all be glued to our seats, awaiting the next singles from The Tullamarines, with ‘Flight Path’ a promising look into what these Aussies can achieve now, yet a glimpse into what they can develop into.
