I’m a photographer with a love for live music! Love rock, punk, indie music but really anything with a good live atmosphere/perfomance.
Brighton’s legendary Concorde 2 hosted a hometown show that felt like a victory lap on tour for Demob Happy
Celebrating the release of their latest single ‘The Grown-Ups Are Talking’, the band took to the stage with the sleazy, fuzz-drenched confidence they’ve become known for, conjuring the desert-rock grit of ‘Avoid Science’ and the high-energy psych-pop of ‘Run Baby Run’.
This was a masterclass in atmospheric rock showmanship; the venue’s intimate, seaside-Victorian charm served as the perfect backdrop for Matthew Marcantonio’s suave vocals and the band’s signature wall of distorted bass and crashing drums. ‘The Autoportrait’ and ‘Be Your Man’ shows contrasted of never seen before material with more familiar songs, generating a wild response from the locals who treated the trio like returning heroes. The band’s performance was vital as a live act in the UK’s alternative scene. It was loud, sweaty and with impeccable grooves.
