The 3rd single from the singer-songwriter Found Instruments (Jack Joseph) marks a change in pace for the artist, boasting his ability to shift through genres and sounds. The recent release was written back in 2019 and finished by November 2020 with regular collaborator Joe Reeves.
‘Aren’t You Glad’ takes a step back from the more grungy, guitar driven release and brings forward synths, soft and ethereal vocals, similar to Tame Impala and Mac Demarco. There is an air of tranquility that is felt throughout the track, something that in a time of worry and anxiety is most welcome.
As each single is released, Found Instruments manages to impress. Bringing forward new and inviting elements to his music. If the quality stays at this level, we’re likely to see and hear more in the future.
