Getdown Services share “saddest song they’ve written’ ahead of highly anticipated sophomore album ‘Massive Champion’
Getdown Services yet again feed us hungry little piggies with their latest single ‘Cha Cha Slide’, taken from their highly anticipated sophomore album ‘Massive Champion’, out August 14th via Breakfast Records.
‘Cha Cha Slide’ continues the bands tongue-in-cheek songwriting that makes them so relatable and infectious. This joined with their masterful sonic crafting makes for a legitimately world beating single. Getdown Services have always been able to craft music that is relatable and fun but with these new tracks we’re seeing the band take it to new heights. We are watching two fledgling geniuses soar and it is incredibly exciting to watch. Take an evening walk during these summer nights, find a quite spot, close your eyes and put ‘Cha Cha Slide’ on, you won’t regret it.
Speaking on the new single Josh explains: “This song is about the feeling of everyone else somehow knowing what to do. It’s about a feeling I’d get as a child that has never quite left me; that I just don’t really know what to do at social occasions. It’s about realising that trying to connect with and understand people is a lifetime of trial and error. It’s probably the saddest song we’ve ever written.”
