Bristol’s new kings Getdown Services return with new music and news of a HUGE hometown show in 2027

The almighty Getdown Services return to our airwaves and invade our ears with their latest single, ‘The Radiator’. A release that comes off the back of some landmark moments for the duo, including opening for Viagra Boys across Europe and at London’s Alexandra Palace.

In addition to the single, we get the huge news of a massive hometown show at the Bristol Beacon on January 16th 2027. The band have also been announced as patrons of Music Venue Trust and will support CMAT at LIDO Festival on 12th June.

‘The Radiator’ brings that classic Getdown Services charm with witty lyricism that instantly brings a smile to the listener. All of this is wrapped up in a chaotic, electronic sound that is full of energy and wildly fun. It further boasts the band’s ability to bring a sense of nonchalance whilst being overwhelmingly talented musicians and producers. They’re true masters of their craft and this latest cut is but a shining example of their bountiful talent.

Speaking on the track Josh explained: “This song is about only picking fights that you know youโ€™ll win. It came about because the heating wouldnโ€™t come on once and I thought about when we bang things to make them work. Ben once told me that he used to threaten his PlayStation 1 when games wouldnโ€™t load quick enough. The sense of victory you get when you feel like youโ€™ve physically intimidated an inanimate object into doing what you want is bizarre and pathetic and really funny.”
