girlpuppy announces new album ‘Sweetness,’ out on 28th March, with the release of heartfelt new single ‘I Just Do!’
The heartfelt tenderness of Becca Harvey’s vocals has captured the hearts of many since the release of January’s ‘Windows’ and Decembers ‘Champ’ – and her newest offering ‘I Just Do!’ is a raw and insightful deep-dive into girlpuppy’s most emotional work yet, setting a strong tone for the upcoming album ‘Sweetness’ – set to release on March 28th.
With unfiltered exploration of Becca’s personal experiences in love and heartbreak, ‘Sweetness’ captures the essence of her dynamic sound, with ‘I Just Do!’ serving as a striking homage to a new era of complexity and sonic maturity.
With silky, flowing vocal runs juxtaposed with rock-infused instrumentals, ‘I Just Do!’ depicts a relatable narrative of falling for someone emotionally unavailable, complemented by a cinematic video depicting Harvey in a vampiric spotlight. Drawing inspiration from pioneering break-up lyricists such as Leonard Cohen and Avril Lavigne, Harvey is on-track to release a rich set of anthems on her new album.
New album ‘Sweetness’ is out on 28th March via Captured Tracks.
