Glastonbury 2025 announces their lineup that includes headliners The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo

After much anticipation, rumours, leaks, headline announcements (headlines pulling out but then confirming), we finally have the official line up from Glastonbury for their 2025 edition. It features headliners The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo, who are joining the placated Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts. In addition to this, they’ve announced Amyl & The Sniffers, Osees, Wolf Alice, Cmat, Loyle Carner, and a LOT more. It’s a pretty full on line up with some incredible talent. However, it is perhaps missing that special something that makes Glastonbury the iconic festival it has become known for, something was seen with last year’s festival.

That’s not to say this isn’t a good line up, it really is, but it’s just not epic. A lot of the artists you can see at other festivals. For example, Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts are playing at BST Hyde Park this year too. The comment sections on the Glastonbury channels are mixed to say the least, one Facebook comment from user Jonathan said: “Headliners are woeful, but plenty of good stuff further down, so there’s no reason why you wouldn’t find something else worth seeing on one of the many other stages.”

And one user named Crispin saying: “This does ease the pain of not getting a ticket again somewhat.”

However, it is important to remember that this just the first wave announcement, there are plenty more to come. However, even that might not be enough to please those disappointed by the headliners. Either way, we know we’ll be tuning in from the comfort of our homes (and those attending will have a jolly too).
