IDLES announce special guests for their Bristol Block Party, including Soft Play, The Voidz and Lambrini Girls

On August 1st and 2nd, IDLES will be coming home to Bristol to play their only UK headline shows of 2025. And they will be bringing some friends

Friday August 1st will be headed by the two-man punk assault of SOFT PLAY, who made a ripsnorting comeback with last year’s critically acclaimed ‘HEAVY JELLY’ album. They will be joined by Lambrini Girls, who recently made their top 20 breakthrough with their debut album ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’. Dubstep DJ SICARIA will also feature.

Saturday 2nd will see The Voidz, led by The Strokes’ frontman Julian Casablancas, on the bill with Spanish indie-surfers Hinds. Also on the line-up for the Saturday is Bristol’s ‘Black + Queer’ pioneer Grove, Scaler and Club Yeke founder, Tash LC.

Both days will also feature local DJ’s and selection of food from Bristol favourites.

IDLES’ Block Party shows will take place in Bristol’s Queen Square and will be the first major live music event to take place there in over 20 years. Prior to the lineup being announced, IDLES’ vocalist Joe Talbot promised the shows to be full of “music we love for the people we love.” A promise which looks set to be fulfilled.
