I’m Evan, a 19 year old concert photographer based and raised in Glasgow. Being from Glasgow, I’ve always been around music from a young age, either going to concerts with my parents as young as 5 or playing a variety of instruments throughout my childhood. Photography has also been a passion for many years and to combine both together and music has been nothing but great.

Jalen Ngonda returns to Glasgow, teasing new music and proving to be one of the best voices in modern soul

Jalen Ngonda’s return to Glasgow at SWG3 was nothing short of incredible. Having seen him before at King Tut’s and Oran Mor, I knew he’d deliver, but this show felt even more special. His smooth, soulful vocals were flawless, backed by a tight band that brought every song to life.

A highlight was hearing two unreleased tracks, making us one of the first crowds to experience them live. The show did pause briefly due to a medical emergency in the crowd, but after a short break, Jalen returned with gratitude and picked up right where he left off.

By the end of the night, the whole room was completely lost in the music—another unforgettable performance from one of the best in modern soul.
