Laish is set to release his third album ‘Pendulum Swing’ 4th November via Talitres. To celebrate the news, Laish is sharing album track ‘Love On The Conditional’, that is accompanied by a humorous video. (below). The single ‘Love On The Conditional’ boasts Laish‘ ability to create music that ignites a warm fuzzy feeling and has us very excited for the album.
Laish was formed by Danny Green in Brighton in 2008. The new album ‘Pendulum Swing’ follows the eponymous debut (2010, Willkommen Records) and ‘Obituaries’ (2013, Folkwit Records), both recorded by Green at his home. Both records received much critical acclaim, with radio plays including BBC6 Music and BBC Scotland.
Now based in London, Green’s move to the capital, after a life immersed in the Brighton music scene, proved a motivation and inspiration. As Green expands:
“I could feel myself becoming fossilised in Brighton, hardening into the grooves of my drinking and laziness so before I became fully set in amber, I dragged myself away and moved to London. Landing in the capital as a single and penniless adult was a harsh slap in the face, a mirror held up to my failure and lack of preparation for any kind of real life outside of music.
I spent a year of gradually learning to love the pace of life in the city and I finally found the nerve to book a real studio and get to work on the album that had been forming during this turbulent period. I was honest with myself about the sounds and the kinds of songs that excite my ears. I wanted to get across a simple truth but for there to be no barriers to the listener, for it to really sound vibrant, sexy and humorous.”
