‘Gold-Diggers Sound’ is the artists third album and will be released July 23rd via Columbia Records

The Grammy award-winning Leon Bridges has announced his third album ‘Gold-Diggers Sound’ which will be released July 23rd via Columbia Records, following 2018’s ‘Good Thing’.

The album will be filled to the brim with Leon’s trademark soulful vocals and infectious swagger, it will also feature ‘Sweeter’, a collaborative track with Terrace Martin. It is also produced by Ricky Reed and Nate Mercereau as well as Leon being an executive producer.

We have gotten a first taste of the new album with lead single ‘Motorbike’, a gentle track that is led by subtle guitar plucks and Leon’s signature butter melting vocals. As always with Leon’s music, the production is crisp, rich in detail, and full of care. The release also has an aesthetically pleasing Bonnie and Clyde-inspired music video that was directed by Anderson .Paak.

Speaking on the new single Leon said:

“The inception of the song started with this afrobeat-type instrumental that my homeboy Nate Mercerau made. Prior to the session, I was in Puerto Rico for my 30th with my best friends, and the energy of that trip totally inspired this song. ‘Motorbike’ is about living in the moment and escaping with someone. It’s the personification of that unspoken chemistry you have with that person. A special thank you to my man Anderson .Paak for the stunning visuals
