Bristol experimental rock band LICE announce new album, out on 20th September, and drop new single ‘Red Fibres’

Following the release of their 2021 debut ‘WASTELAND: What Ails Our People Is Clear‘, Bristol’s experimental outfit LICE today announce the follow-up. ‘Third Time At The Beach’, out on 20th September via AD 93.

The album is a three-part epic and promises to explore our struggle to understand our world. LICE have teased us with a wild list of genres and inspirations, ranging from rock and experimental to minimalism and techno.

On the record, LICE say: This album’s about trying to understand the world and everything in it: history, science and the way we explain it all to each other. It’s a celebration of feeling confused or intimidated by the processes that shape our lives.

Lead single ‘Red Fibres’ is a noisy, twisted journey into the world of the album. Opening with a fairly conventional punk riff, the track soon bends and warps, becoming progressively noisier and more unhinged. The manic vocals are reminiscent of Gilla Band while the guitars tug and snap at their leash, completely desperate to get loose.

‘Third Time At The Beach’ is out on 20th September via AD 93.
