The true mastery of songwriting comes from the ability to take a listener to the place it was written. Balto‘s latest single ‘Magnet/Mind’ does this with ease. After the opening line you are transported to the tiny desert diner that the song was written in. You can almost smell the cheap coffee.
‘Magnet/Mind’ was inspired by the bands 3am trip from Vermont to Cahuenga, Santa Monica. It’s a glistening track that is eloquently nonchalant. In a time of worry and panic music such as this is a lovely moment of calm.
