London singer-songwriter Hongza returns with new single ‘Lovesick’ and announces his new EP, ‘Coming Of Age’

Hongza has dropped a new single, Lovesick‘, to tease his upcoming EP โ€˜Coming of Ageโ€™, out on 27th September. The EP promises a step up from his previous uplifting, sunny releases and we’re sure it will deliver.

On the new track, we see a more personal turn from Hongza, who navigates his experiences in the music industry, adding fuel to this fire of textured musical brilliance. These heavenly sounds, and addictive melodies pulls you in immediately and we canโ€™t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve.

Produced by Larry Hibbit, of Sea Girls and Nothing But Thieves, this track sucks you in immediately with pounding drums, plunging us into Hongzaโ€™s dreamy world of pop and shoegaze bliss. โ€˜Lovesickโ€™ masters the art of a soothing, yet groovy bass which pushes the track into an immersive dream-pop atmosphere.

The track explores themes of distance, longing and yearning for love. Through expressing feelings of emptiness amidst well-rounded production, Hongza really makes us feel a lot, while always remaining worthy of a spot in your summer playlist.

With live shows from June to October, Hongza is a new stand-out for us, and should be for you too. โ€˜Lovesickโ€™ is a journey of loss and separation with transcending vocals and layers of sound.

New EP ‘Coming Of Age’ is out on 27th September.
